Default suspension code

Where would I find the suspension code from GM telling me what suspension I have I have no label in the glove box would it be in the back under the compartment covers?

Default Re: suspension code (quimbo)

It should be on the option sticker as:

FE1: standard suspension
Z51: performance suspension
FE4: Z06 suspension
F45: selective real time damping
F55: magnetic selective ride control

If you have no label and you don't have the suspension dial on your console (F45), then you can tell if you have Z51 or FE1 by looking for a power steering cooler. If you have it, you have Z51 otherwise FE1.

On '98's, it should be on the back of the left rear storage compartment lid.
