I noticed an ad for Tubi aftermarket mufflers, they show a straight crossover pipe behind the over axle pipes. I assume this evens out pulses like the x pipes. Now I have installed Flowmaster Force II system, it performs and looks great with the big quad round stainless tips but like all flowmasters wants to gurgle when off throttle. Would a straight across pipe be as effective as the x?
thanks

My vote is that yes, a simple crossover is just as good as an "x"
Some people reading this might say "but my stock pipe has a crossover"
It appears that the stock intermediate has a simple crossover.
This is misleading when you look at the pipe from the outside.
If you look inside that crossover pipe connecting the 2 intermediates after the cats you will see that the pipes actually just have a hole about the size of a quarter drilled in them. Not the whole 2.5 inches like it looks from the outside.
