I'm going to begin building a corvette. I am interested in using a FRC and building the motor up. Heads/Cam/Stroker. My debate is to stick with the 99 FRC or to pick up a new z06. If you were planning on tearing into the motor in either case. Would you use the z0 or would you stick with the frc?
Are there a great many other differences between the two cars besides tranny? Which I assume I could swap out. How about weight differences? Thanks for the input!
Re: Corvette Ponderings - Info needed. (No Quarter)
get yourself a 99 or 00 FRC and mod it beyond a Z06.
it is the lightest platform to start with, and you can modify the suspension to out do a Z oh........ motor as well, there are alot of options to boost (no pun intended :D ) the horsepower.
then you can add the tranny if ya like, but not necessary if ya swap gears to 3.73 or 3.90.
then ya can add the rear brake ducts and swap wheels and you will be BIG pimpin in a wicked fast car :)
