Depends. Did you disconnect the tie-rod ends? If so, you will want to have the car aligned to save those expensive tires. Simply pulling the rack and ball joints will not wreck your alignment. The tie-rod ends will.
I had Firestone perform a lifetime alignment when I installed my Firehawks. Cost was around $130 and I take the car in about 4 times a year for camber adjustments (especially during autocross season :D ) and it costs me 0$. All "under the warranty". A regular alighment runs around $60 so I thought the extra $$ was a good value for my needs.

CORRECT! Had this happen to me (tie rods removed, new tires required due to alignment issue).
