OK. Here goes. I have the memory seat function. The car is new to me so I need to know how this is supposed to work. I already adjusted my seat to where I want it and held down the memory button for about 5 seconds. When I turn off the ignition key the seat travels all the way back. When I re-enter the car and put the ignition key into the ignition lock one out of every three times the seat does not travel to my memory setting. It just stays all the way back until I hit the memory button on the door. The other two times, when I put the key into the ignition lock the seat does travel to where I had it set up in memory without me touching the meory button on the door. What could be causing this?
My other problem is when I start the car my wiper blades start to go through a washing cycle without me touching anything on the right stalk. There is no fluid discharging when this happens. I hope I don't have major electrical gremlins doing their thing. Sometimes, while just driving, the wipers come on and no matter what I do they will not shut off until they decide to do it on their own. and
As far as your seat problem...make sure you are using the key fob remote to unlock your doors in order for the memory function to work. If you just turn off your ignition and get out and dont use the key fob remote to unlock your doors, it wont work. Cant help you with the wiper/washer problem...
