Help-Gas Door not workingFuse-ok
My 97 gas door won't open. unless I use the emergency latch, Replaced the fuse which looked ok, and still no luck---need gas and tired of pulling that latch---Thanx in advance

I had the same problem on my 2000 coupe. It turned out to be the door release mechanism. (as opposed to the button in the console, the wiring, the fuse, etc.) I had it fixed under warranty, so i can't give you a price for the part.

Mt 2000 had same problem, had it replaced under warrenty. Mine was the switch.

To check the switch, remove it from the console, not a hard job, and connect the two wires. If the door still does not open, the likely problem is the actuator.
