You should have seen what the intake ports with 76,000 miles looked like when I pulled the stock intake off. I dug about a pound of gook from the intake ports..
After 3K with the new intake and using an oil seperator there was oil building up again when I went to swap the heads. My brand new 2000 and 2001 F-bodies were no better...
The LS6 valley pan is the way to go to really eliminate it, you have to knock a pretty good chunk of aluminum out of an LS1 block to use it though. The pcv pulls from the valley cover as opposed to the LS1 sucking oil trapped in the valve cover baffles. If I put a new short block in my car I will do the LS6 PCV - a bit more elegant then the gredddy or air compressor filter..
