Default 16x8 Firebird Wheels

I was wondering if anyone is running with these on the rears to run ET Streets? If so, did the calipers need grinding?

I have heard of people running that set up. Yes you will need to grind the
A arm a bit.

I never ran with them but I had a set. I used a spacer and had to grind down the top of the balljoint a little. This was also with the inside of the rim machined for more clearance.

I aready have the A-arm ground a little for the current set of Centerlines. I am just wondering if the calipers will need a bit of molesting ;)

Had a set of 16in Camaro wheesl that I mounted M/T 16x10in slicks too. Also installed the recommended M/T tubes that sell for $50.00ea in them. They were mounted and balanced. M/T has decided to only make the E/T streets in a 16in tire. Mine were true M/T slicks.

After purchasing all this and watching a few LPE twin-turbos break things I decided NOT to race mine at the track. Sold the new set-up to JD 90 383 on the forum and he used them once at the track last year.

Think he has also decided not to run the risk of breaking things and may be selling my old set-up. The wheels were purchased from LPE and they were in great shape, M/T 16x10 SLICKS (not E/T streets) with one trip to the track, M/T tubes, mounted and balanced. If interested I think JD 90 383 wants $400.00 for both..Not a bad buy...

Wheels $250.00 plus freight from LPE
Slicks $358.00 plus freight from Jegs
Tubes $96.00 plus freight from Jegs
Mounting tubes, slicks, & balancing $60.00

Total that I had in them...$764.00
