Climate control display
My '98 climate control works but the digital display doesn't. Initially, it came on and off periodically. But now it's not displaying anything (but the air/heat works fine). Any ideas?

I haven't messed with mine, but I've seen Radios with digital displays go out due to the small bulbs that back-light the LCD display.
If you are sure it is the unit itself and all the rest of your lights are working, I would check those. If you could take the unit out, I would try to see if you borrow one just to swap in real quick. Then, you would know for sure. :confused: :thumbs:

The climate control and radio in a C5 is flourescent, like a vacuum tube sorta :) They dont have a backlight like tho\e old ford radios.. I have fixed a couple that had cold solder joints but its much easier to buy a new (or used) control head. they pop up here and on eBay occasionally. They were 200 new the last time I checked if I remember. Can usually find a used one for 70-100.00. Takes about 15 minutes to change.
