Under normal driving conditions (i.e. very little hard braking or racing), how
many miles should the brakes last? I bought my Coupe new, and it now has
about 23,000 miles on it (daily driver) after about 14.5 months of ownership.
Thanks.
I would pull the front wheels and look at how close the sensors are to the rotor suface. I can usually tell how much longer they will last by doing so.
Don't worry, you have a long way to go. I have 67K on my car, the fronts are getting thin but these are really long wearing pads! Mine is a daily commuter but HAS been driven hard lots of times :)

65k miles on stock front brakes! With cracked rotors?!?!?!? Remind me not to go for a ride in your car.
Brakes are kinda important....if you value your head, I'd consider replacing them with a little more frequency -- even if they "appear" not to need it.
Hopefully those of you going 65k miles are doing so with regular brake inspections. Regular check ups of the functioning of the calipers, condition of the brake lines, rotors, etc. seems like common sense to me.
You spent $30-$50k for the car, spend $250 to replace your brakes at regular intervals.
A cracked rotor is only one panic stop away from an accident.
