I've been suffering wind noise on my driver's window at speeds above 70. I finally decided to take car of it today. Here is what I did:
Removed the door panel (I'll quickly list how, but consult other posts for specifics.)
-Lowered window
-Removed panel around interior door latch handle
-Removed small plastic piece behind interior door grab handle
-Removed two screws found there
-Popped the six plastic door pins out of their female plastic holders (very hard to do without the proper tool)
-Lifted panel off of door
-Raised window to full up position
-Disconnected door control and set panel aside.
Okay...now for the actual fix. I had previously done the window tip-in adjustment and this never fixed the issue. I decided that a major window readjustment was needed. I noticed that I could see the top (unpolished edge) of my window at the front and rear of the top edge. Compared to my passenger window, this was about 1/4 inch too low.
There are four plastic coverings over holes in the top front and top rear of the door. Whichever one is closest to the middle of each pair needs to be removed. Behind each is a bolt that you will need a large socket driver with extention for. Loosen the rear bolt a lot and the front a little. Pull up the window a bit, tighten, shut door carefully and completely, and figure out how much more you need to raise that end. Do the same for the other end of the window (loosed the end a lot and the opposite end a little.)
Eventually you'll work your way there. Now my driver's window is seated as high as my passenger window is.
Re: Today's experience with a window adjustment. (Scissors)
Thanks for the info Scissors, it is appreciated. I have another question regarding window adjustment that I figured I would ask here. Both of my windows are very loose and rattle profusely when at all separated from the top weatherstripping. The windows can be moved at least an inch in either direction out of place with no effort. Aside from 2 new (possibly not warrantied and expensive) window regulators, do you think there is any way I can tighten a bolt in that area to tighten up this problem? It is VERY annoying with the top off. Thanks for any info!

As near as I can tell, that is by design. The windows have to rotate a bit so that they slide up and under the lip of the weatherstripping.
Mine do exactly the same thing. Tightening those two bolts has no affect.

I too had the rattling/creaking noise on both windows. I recently had my passenger window replaced because of a scratch. Asked the guys to tighten the driver side window for me. Not sure what they did, but both of my windows no longer have play at the top, and the annoying noise is gone. Get in touch with an automotive glass place...they should be able to help. By the way...they tightened the driver's side window free of charge.
