Default alignment/toe settings question....

I lowered my car about 6 months ago and recently had the car aligned seemingly to spec. The car drives perfectly straight, but seems to track/seek a LOT more on less than perfect roads or roads with ruts in them. It goes all over the road with me having to correct a lot. Will some added toe-in on a realignment help this? Are there exact settings that you would recommend to help the tracking and wandering on such roads? Thanks in advance

My car (02 A4) does this too. It helped when I had a 4 wheel alignment, but not as much as I had hoped. I'm sure non run flats would help, but I like long distance touring so I'm sticking with them. I may try another brand; French tires seem to be off the list for the moment tho...

Adding a triffling of toe to the front (above factory spec) will deaden the steering. This may slow the response to bumps so that less attention is required at high speeds. Adding toe to the rear (above factory specs) will add a touch of understeer without really changing the high speed statiblity.

Is the tracking a NEW symptom that arrived after the alignment or was present before the alignment?

What are the current settings (from the alignment)?

you may now have "bump steer" since you lowered you car because it changes the angle of the tie rods. they sell kits to correct this :chevy
