I've been looking for 19x11 rear and 18x9.5 front wheels. However, most of the wheels I've looked at that go to 19x11 are really expensive. I've seen some members have 18inch wheels all around. What is the Is there a trade off with this? Does the rear wheel look lost in the back while the front wheel fills the well? Also, if i have 18 inch all around, can I lower easily to fill the wells?

Re: 18" vs. 19" rear wheels? (ElanMike)
Here's a pic with a Z06 running 18" front and rear. My convertible behind it is also running 18" rear. I think the cars look just fine and when I'm running my street wheels (17f18r) I don't notice the size diff. Click the link below it for biggie size.
personally, i dont like 18" all around. A lot of ppl have that setup. If i had the choice, and most importantly, the MONEY, i wold go 18F/19R, or better yet, 19F/20R. Depends what you are after though. Looks or performance.
If u want performance, i dont think the 19" would be as good as the 18". Possilbly if u Tub the car and get 345/19s. But again, that is major $$$.
the C5 body needs wheels to be staggered in my opinion, from an aesthetic point of view.
looking at the profile of the C5, the back half just swallows up an 18", making it look smaller than what it actually is... whereas the front is more sleek, and seems proportioned.
putting 18" fronts makes the 18" rear look EVEN smaller IMO.
as you put it, it looks "lost" back there.
If any of you guy's need 19" tires I have some Pirelli P-Zero 295/30/19's for sale. I'm selling them for my friend. But they have less then 1 mile and you can save a ton of money :) Make a offer :)
Hi
Lowering the car slighlty gives a better look with the standard size wheels on it. Also I think that putting larger diameter wheels on it slows the 0-60MPH times slightly and you may well need to adjust the speedo to give a correct reading. You wouldn't have to do that though if you went up a wheel size and had a lower profile tyre as then if you put the 2 wheels together with rubber on they would be the same height!!!
If you actually drive your car on real streets there is much to be said for maintaining somewhat greater sidewall height to protect the wheels and give some ride compliance. But, this is much like lowering... as was said above, decide what you want, looks or ?
Sometime looks and practicality are at least partially mutually exclusive.
