Default Oil in Intake manifold

I pulled the throttle body, and there was a puddle of motor oil in the bottom of the intake manifold. Any ideas as to why that was there. Im thinking something to do with the PCV system. I have already changed the pcv valve.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated

The PCV valve is not actually the problem. It is the whole PCV system. The oil accumulates in the intake unless you put a filter in place. The oil usually is only a problem on WOT high rpm conditions.

I vented a LS-6 race engine to a catch tank (dry-sumped) insted of pvc to intake and still get the oil in the intake! I've been thinking that it has to come back from the intake valve with all the overlap and durration in the cam. unlike most other intakes it gets traped in the vally and cant make it's way back. the only problem i've seen it cause is cloging up the MAP sensor at the back.
