Default Headers-Grizzly vs. FLP?

I'm trying to compare Grizzly Headers vs FLP (which seem more popular on the board). I can get the Grizzly's for about $1850.
Any pro's or Con's either way? Open for suggestions.

Both systems are fully ceramic coated, don't require any welding and consist of longtube headers, highflow cats and X-pipe. The FLPs also include two offroad pipes for track use without cats. You would need O2-sims, they're not included.
The FLPs are made of mild steel (except for the cats), the Grizzlys are stainless steel. The Grizzlys do not come with mounting tabs on the collectors, since the manufacturer thinks that they are not necessary.
That's about it!

Thanks for the info.
By the way, I was quoted by H.P. Performance at the Chevy Vette Fest last weekend. ($1850)

You asked for it you got it, here is all the information on the GRIZZLY's, it's long but distinguished.

Our headers are manufactured by Howe Racing constructed by hand utilizing CNC cut exact-fit flanges, 1-3/4" tubes. And 3" collectors. Named " smooth Flow" as result of their construction having no sharp bends and minimal welds. Howe Racing worked with GM to produce and supply the headers for the LS-1 engines in ASA racing series. Threaded oxygen sensor bungs come installed.

These hand welded headers are bent as opposed to being welded piece by piece, as result of this you will find better exhaust efficiency over other systems. The 3/8" flanges are CNC cut - the tubes are 1 3/4" aluminized steel and Jet-Hot coated inside and out.

The 3" collectors are then matched to Random Technologies Super High Flow cats which utilize a Honeycomb monolith sustrate instead of a standard pellet type converter.. The system uses the converters as a step down to go from 3" inlets to 2 3/4" outlets making a smooth flow transition. The cats and high flow x-pipe are fully stainless and 2 3/4" instead of the standard 2 1/2" stock system. By using stainless steel band clamps instead of flanges we add extra alingment possibilities to make sure your system lines up perfectly and doesn't leak. Section 8 Racing Inc. is now also offering the GRIZZLY's big off-road brother the KODIAK, which consists of 2 3/4" converter by-pass tubes and O2 simulators for those days at the track. We've been called the ultimate system by those who have installed them.

We have formed a CO-OP HP Performance Corvettes which will install your GRIZZLY for $280.00. Visit our site to see and hear the GRIZZLY in action. http://www.section8racing.com/produc...ust_system.htm
Hope this helps.
Stay cool. :flag:

Thanks Section8. I know Kevin and trust his judgement. Unless FLP has a good argument, I will be going with the Grizzlys.
