FL Corvette Challenge Runs/Review!!!

Didn't know when I got there what I'd be "allowed" to run (thanks in part to a....... oh never mind ) so 1st Qual Run out, I went full bore to get a gauge for the day. All was cleared for the day, and rules clarified once again, for next month, but my RT was .639 and pulled a 12.825@109.17 :D...not bad for a hot, humid day :D
Next out, RT was .634 and ran a 12.95, and was followed up by the last qual run of theday, with a .612 and 12.846@108.10 :D
So I set my dial to a to a 12.82 and we waited to get paired up and staged :D
I got paired up with my old Shark nemesis ;) :D VetteFlame79, Roger, who's handed me my **** more than once....but this time out I nailed the tree with a .558 and I was running up on him fast :D...so fast he got a little nervous and ended up breaking out with a 15.364 on a 15.50 dial-in :D Round One goes to me :D
2nd round, I'm paired up against my buddy, 1fastdog, Paul :D...and he's in an '02 Z06 ...and a damn good driver to boot! I change my dial-in to a 12.88 due to the weather, etc....he dials, "same"....which means I really need to cut a good tree, otherwise I'd be sunk! Well, I nailed a .545 and we're down the track and I'm ahead of him, then he catches up, DAMN! I edge out as he backs off HARD, and before the line, I'm on the brakes as well since I didn't wanna break out :D...didn't know it till I pulled around to the shak, that he red-lighted and I had the round from the start :D :hurray:
Round 3, I'm lined up against My95, Ken, the winner of the Best Package Trophy! Kept the dial at 12.88 and again, nailed the tree with a .541 and even though Ken had dialed a 13.6, I had caught him before the 1/8th mile and again, the round was mine :D:D:D
Whew....made it to the semi-finals :D:D:D...got paired up with a low mileage, '95 C4, piloted by an old time racer ....It was over before it started, as it was my turn for a red-light and I was done for the day, but that's ok, I'll take the points....all the way to the bank ;) :D
He went on to win 1st place and hopefully will be bringing more racers from his area next month :D
