B&M shifter versus Hurst Shifter

B&M shifter versus Hurst Shifter
I did a search on the subject and didn't find anything - so anyone who has had both or has one --- what are your thoughts on them versus the factory shifter?
Questions - some say they are louder and annoying in sound versus factory
Is the B&M too notchy?
New shifter will require much greater effort and not be as smooth as Stock?
