Had my car out for the first time for a long drive since the headers.
After getting the engine warm my check engine light came on.... a few things you should know now I was just about empty and also I was getting some rustty moisture from the pipes but that seamed to go away.
I put on TPIS long tubes and left the cats and O2 sensors.
Any guesses?
Re: Need some help from anyone with LT headers (iceburgh68)
Almost forgot.....The car runs like a champ...and is stronger than ever with the LT and I had no reduced power even when the engine light lit.
Help please
Re: Need some help from anyone with LT headers (iceburgh68)
Check your codes and let us know what they are. Considering this is your first long drive since the installation you may also want to check to make sure no wiring is up against the headers. Mositure coming from your pipes is an indication your cats are working. When dropping intermediate pipes for maintenance or exhaust mods I've seen as much as a cup of water come out of each cat back flange when lowering the assembly to the ground.

Probably when you check like Bill says you might have some bad 02 simms.Put my tpis headers from my z06 onto my new vert and drove a few miles and got a check engine light.Ended up being the simms.

I think he still has the cats on.
I bet you have a bad (hopefully fixable) O2 sensor. The codes will tell you the story. I had a cut wire in my left rear O2 sensor after the install. It was easy to fix.
Re: Need some help from anyone with LT headers (iceburgh68)
It could also be an exhaust leak. Check your codes. When I had a leak between the header and cat pipe I would get a low O2 voltage code and check engine light, no reduced power.
