Well I'm basicly done installing all my new goodies (see sig) and wow was that a great project for an otherwise dull and boring March!
But I have one last hurdle! I need to insert an extension in the air tube that runs between the headers. I need about two inches but I'm going to go for four inches to be sure. I want to insert this extension to the rear of the passenger's side valve cover. Right in the area where it goes under the cowl and heads on over to the driver's side. This extension needs to be flexible and able to function as intended for the air tube. What do I use?
Thanks in advance for your assisstance! Looking forward to the start up!
Re: Header Air Tube Needs Extension! (CapeCodCoupe)
Why do you need an extension? Did you get the right year headers? FYI, 97-00 headers will have the air tube on the #8 exhaust tube. 01-03 headers have the air tube on the #6 exhaust tube. If this is the case and you have the later model headers its best to just switch to the longer 01-03 air tube altogether. We have some used late model air tubes in stock. As with any header some air tube manipulation will be necessary but they generally line up. Let me know if I can be of any help :)
