anybody have the re-ring done
I have a 2001 convertable w/MN6 transmission I get approx. 1000-1200
miles before I need to add a quart, which is right on the border line. My dealer says if I want it done I can have it, I just don't know if I'm opening a can of worms.

I was using about the same as you. I had it done last October and couldn't be happier! I suggest you find a dealer that has done a few. Just got back from a 3000 mile round trip to Las Vegas. Seen triple digit speeds in New Mexico, and Arizona. Didn't check my oil till I returned home. When I did it didn't use any at all. Still on the full mark. Certainly glad I had it done.
