I recently installed a Corsa Indy exhaust on my car and like the sound. I have been unable to get the four round tips to be parallel with the bumper. If I put a straight edge across the tips the inner exhaust edge is at least 1/4 inch to far in. I tried several different things with the clamping but nothing works. I have contacted Corsa but, the Guy that was going to get back with me never did. So much for the customer service. Anyone else have this problem?
The only way I could them to "stick-out" the same was to adjust the clamps closest to the front of the car.
The clamps next to the mufflers will adjust the "level" of the tips. The clamps closer to the front of the car will adjust how much the tips stick out back.
This is what worked for me... it took two hours to get them level...
I've been futzin with my Corsa Pro Tips since I got them almost a year ago. I can get them close enough so that no mortal observer would notice, but just can't get them perfectly level across all four.
At this point I am satisfied with being close, but would appreciate further advice on how to get them perfect.
The problem is this: When both "pairs" are exactly parallel to the ground, they are not even (that is, one pair is higher than the other). After messing with the clamps, you can get everything just f$%#@d up enough to make it look OK from the back, but then nothing is really level or parallel.
I'm probably being too **** about this, but that's the nature of some of us out there.
Any similar experiences or recommendations out there?
I think what it boils down to is Corsa's quality control is slipping do to increased production. My Daytona tips are not welded on pefectly straight, but since there are only two tips I can get them close enough(level) to satisfy me. With two tips per side if there not welded straight you will have a rough time with adjusting them :yesnod: Corsa need to address this problem or they will lose future customers.
