mix/match tires?

mix/match tires?
The dealer replaced one of my EMT goodyears because they damaged it when taking off the rim. Its new, however my other 3 tires need replacing. I do not want the goodyear EMT's anymore, but don't want to throw away a new tire either. Would I cause any problems if I have 3 tires the same and one different? :confused:

You should always have the same tires on the front (both sides), and the back (both sides), but you can put one style of tires on the front and different on the back. The only way I would mix the tires would be in the rear and I would just be burning the hell out of them, I wouldn’t do any street racing on them ether. Two different tires in the back might get different traction and you might have handling problems.

I am currently running Brand New Nitto 555 on the rear while I am getting the last miles out of my original run craps. No problems at all other than the noticeable difference between the ride of the two different tires. There is a night and day difference with the noise, and ride comfort. I'll be replacing the fronts soon! :yesnod:

It's ok to replace both fronts or both rears, but I wouldn't do 3 +1.
I have Michelin run flats on the rear & the original Good Years on the front.
Thios combo works fine.
