BPP Vortex Power Duct
I called BPP and they claim that the clamp was overtightened...if that was the case dont you think it should crack and not warp like it was never hardened properly??????
They are sending me a new one and will decide when I ship back the old if its deemable as defective and warrants replacement.......They are also banging me for shipping since its over 30 days....too bad they didnt answer my messages or emails to Ernie withing the 30 days! Nice Right?

I know from my own experience how frustrating it is when you don't get your emails replied. I have the same issue with Ecklers and GHL! :U
some facts to consider for correct and smooth trouble-free installation =>
- the main shell of the VPD is of relatively thin wall-thickness - true
- therefore, the supplied clamps, shell-side, have to be torqued VERY carefully (just a li'l tad more than hand-tight)
- to however assure good air tightness you should grease both ends of your VPD towards the couplers with some good layer of silicone-grease
- then you also should do some manual "pre-shape" of the one engine side clamp to oval shape - following the shell's shape. This will guarantee good seating of that clamp with equalized pressure around the circumference of the shell
- position the clamps drive-gears sideways, not to the top of the VPD
- underneath the VPD you might apply a thin layer (2 to 3mm) of some kind of black semi-stiff foam-rubber to avoid any inadvertent rubbing against the top radiator shroud
- ENJOY your work in helping to cure the egines tendency for asthma - by enhanced airflow
