I have installed the Ram 402/6130 combo with the Mcleod Adj M/C.
I set the clutch disc clearance at .030 per Mcleod's website. I have put over 600 miles on the system. I drove to work, about 38 miles mostly highway. When I stopped the car I could smell the clutch. I have noticed the engagement point getting higher on the pedal travel. So I re-adjusted it. My problem is that I am out of threads on the adjustment. I will contact McLeod on monday to see what they say. Anybody else with this system had the same problems?
You may have air in the system... As I understand it, this MC needs to be power bled to have it work correctly. It may not be the answer you need but I hope it helps you out. :blueangel:
Thanks. I found a TSB on a improved clutch bleed procedure. Now if I can locate that Jxxxx adapter to fit my master cylinder... Could be air in the system I am not really sure. One thing that I do know I don't want to bleed that clutch from the bleeder screw ever again. :banghead:
