Default Shocks

After running at the track this past Friday, I am wanting for a little better handling. My car has 27k miles and the original shocks. I have the adjustable factory shocks. Does this feature go away with aftermarket shocks (I think that it probably does).?? Does that trigger any errors codes if I do go with Bilstein or something else. Anyone with experiences ??
Thanks in advance

The adjustable feature will be gone with aftermarket shocks. You will need "adjustable shock simulator" modules, which plug into the connector that used to go to each shock actuator, so that you won't throw a trouble code, and be in limphome mode, where the maximum speed will be limited to 85MPH (I think).

Aftermarket swaybars are the place to start out with when it comes to handling. Install a set of Hotchkiss bars and then try the track again... I doubt that you overheated your OEM shocks to the point that you have to replace them. Some shocks ride so rough, you may not like the results you get... IMO, try the bars first... then the shocks if you feel that you really need to replace them. And be sure to bring your car to the April 19/20th event at Sears point!! :)

I agree with vetterdstr, try a set of Hotchkis bars first. I did and noticed a great improvement. after a while with that setup I recently went with aftermaket adjustable shocks. I too have the f45 system. I can email you the instructions to reprogram your body computer to deactivate the f45 system. I did it last week at the dealer with the help of a friendly Mech and his Tech 2.
