Service ABS/Traction Control Gremlin
Gremlins are inhabiting the GR8C5! I need a wizard. She's a '97 with 6-sp, Z51, FE3.
At an outside temp of 37 F or less, when I hit a bump, the Service ABS and Service Traction Control icons light up and the DIC presents the message that there is service on same needed. If I turn off the engine and restart, the icons are off and the DIC is quiet until I hit another bump. For those familiar with the Michigan roads, bumps are everywhere. These aren't huge speed-bumps that cause the cd player to skip but Michigan-sized expansion joints that are everywhere.
Interestingly, when the outside temperature is in the 50's or above, there is no such warning or message. The obvious answer is to not drive when it's below 50. I've had the GR8C5 for two years now and she has had this issue since I've had her. I have replaced the brake fluid and bled the system. All other systems are fine as far as I know.
Anyone have such an adventure with their C5 and been able to figure it out?
Thanks to all ahead of time.
