Default Functional Side Vents?

Honest, I thought these beautiful side vents let air out of the engine compartment, now that I look closer, it seems they are fake! Whats the deal here?

look closer, they work heat does come out as your driving, its just not a direct hole into the engine compartment.

Sorry but the gills are just for looks. The drivers side is completely empty with just the wheel well close out panel and the hard SMC panels forming the engine bay...no way for any heat to get in from the engine bay.

The passenger side is home for the PCM no heat vented out there either.

Search the forum. One member opened up the Driver side to vent the heat. The other side is where the pcm sits..
