Default Throttle not responding when stepping on the lead???

Has anyone experienced while they are stomping the accelerator that the vette sometimes does not respond. It seams and sounds like the engine is choking then the throttle responds. Whats up with that??? Can someone explain?

Me + Vette = Step on the (gas) Pedal.

I am guessing you still have the stock Air box on it...GM decided to choke the hell out of the motor to keep it at 345hp

Dump that and put a Vararam on it...
http://www.vararam.com

You WILL notice a big difference

I found out what was my problem!!! Thanks to Jimman!!

THE RESOLUTION:
I cleaned my MAF last nite with a pump sprayer filled w/ 91% isopropyl alcohol and 30 q-tips. There was definitely some sort of gunk! All the q-tips turned black!!! I used the q-tips on all the metal and the spray action on the hairline MAF wires. The MAF wires because shiny silver!!! Most of the black residue was on the thicker (hanger thick) wires.

This might sound crazy, but I polished my MAF with my dremel and polishing wheel w/ a slight amount of metal polish! Reason why? The MAF is now screenless and I noticed that there was some burrs when they pulled the MAF out of the casting mold....NOW THE MAF IS SLIPPERY SMOOOTH AND THE MAF SENSOR WIRES ARE SHINY AND CLEAN!

Took my vette out on the interstate after a 10 mile warm up and wooohoooo... no more bogging and completely smooth acceleration now, PUSHED 120MPH WITH EASE BABY!

INTERESTING..........think I will have to try this.....I get a slight bogg when taking off, and a slightly rough idle. I tried the "relearn idle" thing with no help. I love this place thanks Jimman

I have no MAF screen, I removed the screen on m MAF because it was very restrictive.

I used 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol that I had in the medicine cabinet. The pump spray I had is just a plain ol' sprayer that I use with water to spray the plants around the house. I turned thes sprayer to a broad stream setting and sprayed away and let the alocohol do evaporate on the MAF sensor wires!

I hope this helps!
