Headlamp removal. Is this easy?
If you want to replace the entire headlight assembly (headlamp, motor, actuator, etc) then you'll have to remove the whole front facia... which is a different story...
Go to one of the websites that shows how to change out the headlights for Euro H-4 lights & you'll get complete instructions. LAPD may have them.
I would guess you can change out the headlight in 30 -45 minutes. It took me 2 hours to install Euro lights including the wiring harness.
Beware, however!. I recommend you do not put your hand under the opened headlamp assembly with the car battery still connected; I was working in that area and bumped something which caused the light to close, trapping my hand. After the initial panic, I recalled from my C4 that there is a manual **** that can be used to raise the light, so I was able to free my hand. For your info, the **** is shown, but not described, in Step 3c. It's the black circular **** that is just below and to the right of headlamp cover. If you pull the rubber cover off of it, and with MANY rotations, it will manually raise and lower the headlamp. For safety, you might consider disconnecting your battery at the beginning and using this manual ****.
Good luck. :seeya
