I picked up a couple of GE 9006SB (Super Blue Halogens) yesterday and attempted to install them today. I was puzzled when the GE 9006SB would not fit into the existing harness. After closer inspection, it appears that 9006SB has a single notch whereas the stock bulb has 2 slots. Basically, this square peg doesn't fit in this round hole! What a waste of friggin time! I thought all 9006 bulbs would fit the C5? Actually, I even looked it up before I purchased to verify 9006 was correct. Is there something wacky about the GE Super Blue 9006SB? Thx! Gipper, a 9006 should fit...are you sure your not trying to put the low beam bulb into the high beam slot?

 

Now that you mention it, that makes sense and was probably what I was trying... :bb

ive had about 3 different kinds of 9006 bulbs in and out at one time or another, and they all fit...
are you sure it was the spot for the low beams? the high beams are 9005 and have a different plug!

 

Yup, those bulbs are a PITA to change.
