Strange but intermitent problem occuring with driver door. The problem appears as follows: I stop the car, turn off the ignition, remove the key and can hear the door mechanisms unlock. My wife can open the passenger door yet I cannot open the driver door. This happended twice in the past two days. I have to restart the car, put it in firsts and move it a little and shut it off. On one occasion I had to do this twice before the door would unlock.
My dealer replaced the battery last week under warranty because it would loose charge and not start the car if parked more than 2+ weeks. Anyone think the battery replacement could cause such a strange problem with the door not unlocking . Comments appreciated.
It's a very common problem. Over a span of about 6 months, GM replaced the door switches on both sides of my car. What I don't know is whether the replacements are improved or are also apt to fail. Good luck. :seeya

This isn't something as simple as a battery problem. If it were, the wife's door wouldn't unlock either. Look into thr diver's side door module.
