After wanting a short throw shifter, I ended up getting a kirban because I liked the accuracy of the shifts but not that the throw is only about 20% shorter. My brother and I looked at it and came up with a kewl idea.
We machined off the forward corner of the bottom of the separate upper section of the shifter(it comes in two pieces)(if you don't do this the car wont go in reverse without a fight), cut off 5 of the **** threads, and drilled a new hole above the top hole on the same section. We then attached the center section using the original top hole as the bottom and the newly drilled top hole as the new top. (use a smaller diameter bolt and nut as the shifter is thinner near the top so you retain it's strength. The resulting shifter is about half the throw with the acurracy of the kirban.
I'll try to post pics if I can figure out how to post them....newbie.
Hope someone benefits.
