Help - Loose Windows
Thanks for the help.
PS> I did take it to a local auto glass repair shop and they offered to take it apart and see what the problem is! They had never had the pleasure of working on a C5 before. Decided I would either fix it my self or take it to the dealor ($$$$$$$$$$$$$). Help!

With the door open and the glass up you will have inboard, outboard play.
When the door closes the slack is taken up.
What I see happen the most is the inboard-outboard adjuster screw at the bottom of the regulator comes out of the regulator, this allows massive movement and even though it makes for a nice tight window when closed, it can cause a horrible rattle noise when the window is down.
If you can roll the window down about half way and move the top of the glass in and out and hear a bang when pushing out, it's probably loose.
Otherwise, be aware there are no tracks inside the door for the glass.
There are two tracks for the drive cables that hold the glass but there is no support for in-out movement.
I'd almost say if you don't hear a rattle with the window down you are okay.
Taking apart the door and adjusting the glass are a royal pain.
