Hotchkis Clunking Sound
If anyone else is experiencing a clunking sound on their Hotchkis Sway Bars, according to Kevin at Hotchkis, it is due to the end links crush nut loosening somewhat which then allows the end links to move. The nuts seem to back off no matter how tight you tighten them. They don't know the recommended torque of these nuts (hard to believe). Solution? Periodically crawl underneath and make sure the crush nuts are as tight as you can get them. Sounds like an unsure solution to me but the only one available.

Remove the tires and wheels and get in there and tighten those nuts and bolts to 75 lbs with a TQ wrench... that clunking will be a thing of the past. :yesnod:

I've had two cases of end links clunking. Both were fixed after re-torquing to 75 lb-ft. In both cases the end links weren't tightened sufficiently in the first place.

Mine don't make any noise at all. Put the car on jackstands, remove the wheels. Torque them gradually with slow motions on the torque wrench. If you tighten too fast you will get incorrect torque readings.
