Default Best cam for 383 stroker...

Looking for a strong cam for a 383 stroker that I'm having built. Currently have a 224/224 .588 112 lsa in my current H/C package. Making right around 430rwhp with all the other mods (stage III heads, headers, UD pully, etc...).

Want a cam that can give me around 465 reliable rwhp that will run on 92 octane. Thinking around 11:1 CR. Also will ocassionally shoot a 200 shot on top when going to the strip. All recommendations are welcome, and also include what you think I might be able to get in peak rwhp with the set-up.

I'm having a 382 Lunati Stroker built right now by Mike Norris Motorsports in Orlando, Florida. Mike suggested and I went with a Comp Cam custom grind ..232/232/578-113 for my 2001 A4 ..This is with the addition of new SVO 30# injectors and Yella Terra rockers among several other new performance components..That's an upgrade from the Lunati 226/226/554-114 I had in my H/C combo before the build.Should have a nice chop and the power should be strong throughout the rpm range 3000-6500.. :yesnod:I'm expecting a solid 450-475 RWHP and substantial torque gain with the new motor.

I would consult the tuners that KNOW what to expect. Wade Stevens at ARE is very knowledgeble too. Worth a call to him.:D I'll post the results asap..I should have the car back within the week!.. :hurray:

I would go with a:
232/238 on XER lobes .590+ lift 112lsa 110icl(2 degrees ground in)
OR
238/244 on XER lobes .590+ lift 112lsa 110icl
