First Real Problem with the Vette, Need some Forum Help!
While driving today I got a little happy and decided to put the pedal to the metal (fiberglass) the car took off and I noticed the RPM's jump to 5 and a half and stay there for what seemed like 2 to 3 seconds. Which I thought was pretty odd but didnt think about it any further.
Then a minute away from my house while at a light I decide to have a little more fun and gun it, not flooring it, just taking off fast. The engine made some wierd struggling sound/whine. Then it jumped so I figured ok, maybe I did something wrong.
This is where the trouble begins everytime the car is in first or second gear (A4) it barely moves! The RPM's are fine but the car goes slower than a Geo. I pulled over right by my house to check if I had broken a belt or something, but everything was fine, although the coolant tank was bubbling right in the middle, dont know if thats normal or not.

I have no answer if the car is in 1st gear, but if you start in 2nd gear it leaves in 2nd gear not 1st gear, this would make the car seem sluggish, just one thought

Check the intake coupler at the TB. Sometimes it becomes loose, causing the engine to bog or even stall. Honestly tho, your problem sounds a bit more serious than that.

Didn't you get that car about a year ago? Maybe I have you confused with some one else...the member I am thinking about had similar problems back then.
I'd take car to your favorite dealer and take a tech or service writer for a ride.
Almost sounds like trans or maybe malfunction traction control? Any trouble codes?

The best advice I can give you is to take it to the Dealership and let them fix your baby. :yesnod: They will do a great job and have it back to you in no time.
