I think my Fuel Pump died!
I was driving along and the car bucked. The it did it again, and again. I noticed then i could hear my loud pump and then I could not. SO the pump was turning on and off. Do I have a bad pump, or a loose connection. Is that what bad pumps do? How much for a new one? Is there a recall on the 97 fuel pumps? I thought that I saw that somewhere.

They recalled the Fuel Senders due to erratic fuel level readings..Tow it to the dealer, If your tech is cool he will cover it for you.

I had a similiar problem, check your fuel pump relay mounted in the fuse box under the hood. I took mine out last year, when I replaced it, it was a little loose, and I had an intermintet problem. I bent the prongs out a little, made it a little tighter and it solved my problem! :cheers:
