I just read an article in a mgazine about a 440 or 441 ls1 with a custom intake which made 701 engine hp NA.... Well like a fool I didnt buy the magazine and I dont remember where I saw it....I think west coast corvettes had something to do with it.... anyone else see this? I will try surching barns and nobel again today... It might have been in populer hotroding but Im not sure....
FOUND IT! I will scan and post it at about 530 east coast time when Im done with class. It was west coast! with BEP performance.... great article its a 441. (4.125B, 4.125S)

My 418 is making 512 thru the mufflers at the tires. Assume a 15% loss, that would give us 606 BHP. My car is definitely intake limited. I am looking at a Hogan custom intake. I think that I should get 35 RWHP or better or I am not spending 2500 for an intake. That would put me at 648 BHP. I would be very happy to have that from a NA car. Especially a 418.

Randy---Have you read numbers on the Hogan anywhere or seen any flow data, I'm with you if I can get an extra 30 to 40rwhp out of the 436ci with the Hogan I'll spend the money but not for 10rwhp. Bill
that's one expensive engine   I bet you that has a lot more in her too since it's California street legal and is built for nitrous :reddevil
You know what I'm thinking!!!!
Slap a Kenne Bell Supercharger ontop of that intake and making insane HP!!!
Big Question...
Why can't someone make an intake that a Kenne Bell Supercharger can bolt on to for stock configuration. It's numbers will be way better than the magnusons and give people the option of forging the bottom end for even more boost down the road. What does everyone think?
Nice piece of work, but not a real street motor with the C5R heads and their 38 cc chambers. When the next generation of intake manifolds arrive, I predict that we'll see RWHP numbers in the high 500s on pump gas. Close enough to 700 at the crank.
With the C5R heads and that many cubes, I would've expected over 800HP N/A if they where doing a max effort combination.
I think 650-700HP N/A is attainable with current LS6 seriously ported heads, the inches, and a good intake ( hell just make nice vic jr carb intake and slap on 1050 dominator )

Bill,
Not yet. I have to get the data sheet filled out and sent to them before they can tell me what to expect. All intakes are custom made and they work off of your specific data. Port size and shape has to be measured, cam specs, etc. Very cool stuff. Get them to send you a catalogue and look at the two LS1 intake they have. ONe is for a C5R and the other is for normal heads.

As soon as I find out I will let you know.

I spoke to a guy named Calvin from Maryland who bought this engine from WCC,for what he told me he paid for it(40,000+) I would've expected at least another 100-150HP,with that set up,15 TO 1 compression, solid roller, custom intake, etc,I would think it would make 850+ at the crank.I am curious to see what it does though, the owner told me his car is at the Vette Doctor's to have the motor installed, the car is a 99 hardtop that was converted to an automatic built by Rossler,I am curious to see if the transmission will be able to shift at a high enough rpm,(7500rpm's+) to run the times this motor is capable of,the power peak is probably around 7500rpm's which would mean the car should be shifted at 77-7800,I don't think a 4L60E can handle that,I don't care how strong it's built.Just another disadvantage we C5 owners have to put up with,if it was a non-electronic trans like a TH400 or TH350,it wouldn't be a problem,I'll be watching for the progress of this car.
