PCV Replacement
The dealer told me that the PCV can cause the car to use oil. I would like to change it but have not been able to find it. I have a 2001 Coupe MN6. Would appreciate instructions. :seeya

To find the PCV valve: Stand on Passenger side...like you were going to check the oil, behind the Throttle Body on the intake manifold there is a tube inserted which runs along the passenger side behind the valve cover, pull this tube off the intake, the part you just pulled off is a separate piece of tubing, pull this short piece of tubing off of the main tube, look into the end of the remaining tube (where the bulge is) ...whalla ..the PCV valve! :chevy

GM switched to a different PCV during the 2001 model year. The early model is an actual valve. If you tap on it you can hear it opening and closing. The newer style does not have a valve in it. My dealer switched mine out to the newer style about 200 miles ago. I'm on the official oil consumption test right now. I haven't really noticed if the new PCV is making any difference with the oil issue yet.
