Got the valve spring on put the roller rockers back and slowly bled down the lifers to adjust, I realize now where the sputtering sound was coming from I guess the spring was cracked for the last week or so and finially broke, I thought I might have MAF problems the way it was acting, runs great again boiling the tires.
Yep 918's, and I wasn't running it hard either I think it was just defective, my new heads have Cranes new dual's with their new seating cup where you don't have to machine the head to add the wider duals, let you know how they work out.---Runs great for now but better soon, thanks for the reply KH looking forward to your ironing out the wrinkles and getting the runs your car is capable of.
Re: Got it running, broken valve spring (NEPTUNEBILL)
Well at least it sounds like the new setup should hold up pretty well. As far as my wrinkles go, I think I got the biggest one ironed out last week by picking up a set of CCWs and ET streets. Feels great to slam the gas pedal and actually take off instead of watching the tires go up in smoke. Im gonna try and get some seat time and then decide about what we should do with the larger headers. Its only a little dip around 2200, I think, so at the strip I should be fine.
Joe---The ccw setup makes all the diff in the world doesn't it, except on the interstate or expressway I am a little shy of running guys as they run away while I'm fishtailing all over the f road and this is when I am trying to use restraint and throttle control, I hate I can't get at least a little bit of a hole shot with my street tires, but then that would mean I would have a very slow car, the et's are the way to go---Bill
