Default Need Help, Unexplained Oily Fluid behind driver's wheel????

I noticed a spot on my garage floor the last two times I have taken the Vette out. It appears approximately 8-10 inches directly back from the center of the driver's side wheel, it feels almost like undercoat from the spot on the floor, but underneath I found a wet spot but no drops, it is dark colored, has no smell, and seems oily. I looked under the hood on that side and could see no oil leaks, brake fluid is full, oil full, automatic tranny full. I checked after driving the Vette today and after 8 hours nothing on the floor. Vette only has 207 miles. Any ideas?????

Woodyman - You got a couple of great rides there in the vete and bike! You don't have a cat that might have made a mess on your garage floor behind the wheel do you  ! Or heaven forbid you arn't driving your baby in the rain, or through water are you? Just joking....(and for the record I do drive mine in the rain...).
I assume from your message you were discussing the area behind the drivers side FRONT wheel (vice rear). I would jack the front up, support on stands (or easier use low angle Rhino type ramps) and really check around under the car. It is really flat under there and the airflow could have a leak from many places show up around there. Things to look for: left side of radiator for signs of leaks, windshield washer fluid resovoir, brake hose/caliper area for any signs of slight leaks that might occur during braking, ensure oil filter area tight and no leaks around that area, and power steering pump/lines/rack. Your desciption of the substance makes it sound like a bit of oil?
Better yet, it sounds like your vette is brand new - I would go bug the dealer service folks if it is new.

Mine did the exact same thing! It was a shock absorber that was leaking fluid. You can see it right away if you take off the front wheel. I hope you're under warranty if you have the F45 option!!!

I hope that's not the problem, sure would not look good for the New F55 Magnetic Ride Shocks, have not had a chance to pull the wheel, but will as soon as I get a chance.

Thanks for the info.
