What is the max lift on the comp cam spring 941?? Also I have been hearing things in the LS1tech forum about having to change any aftermarket spring yearly but the LS6 is a once and done deal?
941s are good - up to - .600 lift if my memory recalls me correctly - but everyone quit using these springs about a year + ago..
02, 03, LS6 (not 01 LS6) Springs are fine up to .550 lift
Having to change springs is mostly due to how often you bang the rev liniter due to the reduction in spring pressure.. again - the final factor is spring pressure - they are making sure they have enough to prevent valve float..
:D

One of the main reasons guys stopped using 941s is because of valve spring failures. 918s are a better choice if you want to stick with a single spring. If you want an extra margin of safety checkout Rev 1116 dual springs, these springs do not require maching your heads to fit. How often you have to change valve springs depends alot on how aggressive your cam is.
