Default True hardcore brake math.

Have you ever wondered what would happen when you upgrade your fronts, or swap M/C, or any of the other things you can do to a braking system. Well, your braking system is just hat, a complete system. So rather than do somehting for looks, or that may in fact make your car brake worse.

Here is a spreadsheet that will help you calculate all your brake variables.
http://users3.ev1.net/~black_ops/z06.../brakemath.xls

Disclaimer: Don't hurt yourself with this. A couple of bad keystrokes could cost thousands.... Don't ask. :)

Big disclaimer: If you use this spreadsheet to design your brakes and they fail horribly and you die in a fiery crash… It's not my fault. YOU are responsible for verifying the accuracy of this information. I am not a Professional Engineer… There may be many errors.

Not that bad, really. It doesn't include the rest of the story in brake design. Ventilation factors , finite element structural analysis of the caliper to prevent noisy brakes, acceptable unsprung weight. wheel/caliper clearance. brake booster design. variable contact patch (e.g., bmw is using fast deflation/inflation for future enhanced braking performance of its x5). aerodynamic loads (obviously worse is better).

This is what stoptech has been pushing for years. Improper piston sizing hurts braking performance, not help!
