Re: Albany, NY Service Dept Needed (SpeedracerZ06)
I live in Slingerlands N.Y. I take my car to Salisbury Chevy
on Rt. 50, which is where I purchase all my Cars. DePaula's
on Central Ave. is also good.

None of the dealerships in Albany are worth a poopie! If I had to make a choce it would be DeNooyers. Call there and ask for Jimmy DeNooyer in the service department. Tell him you got refered by Howard at Redline Motorsports. If you need any other assistance with mods contact me via E-mail.
Re: Albany, NY Service Dept Needed (SpeedracerZ06)
I'm in Clifton Park and have used Denooyer on Wolf Road for minor warranty and service work. Rear seal leaking, fuel sending units defective and they changed out my steering wheel as I went with a Ken King euro design. Except for a nice scratch in the clear coat I gotta say they did ok by me. Another friend from Saratoga uses Denooyer for all his mods and service and recommends them. He might chime in here and tell you about his experience's at Denooyer. I deal with a guy named Carl Rafun at Denooyer's, he seems to be a stand up guy.
Good Luck
Bill Martone
Thanks Guys. I think I'll go with Denooyer. Do they have a Vette technician? Would they be picky about something like bits of rubber burned onto the mufflers if they came across that? :D
I have a friend who works at Heart in Kingston. He says that the Vette tech there is real good too but it's obviosuly a bit of a drive.
Yes howard, I'll be there on the 25th. I'm going to attempt going every Wed. night as well.
Re: Albany, NY Service Dept Needed (SpeedracerZ06)
Jeremy,
Dave Potter is the main guy for Vettes. He's a young kid but has worked on quite a few C5's. Not much of a performance tech but good with "dealer" related issues.
Jimmy DeNooyer is into the hyperf. stuff and he runs the service department. Ask for him first.
See you on the 25th. We'll see what kind of parts we can break!
I tried 3 times to call Jimmy and he wasn't available any of them. I'm not sure if he was screening his calls or just out enjoying the weather. Anyway, I made an appointment for Tuesday.
I better not break naything on the 25th. I don't want to miss Watkins Glen May 5th. I'm going to stick with my street tires so I don't break anything in the rear. ,
Where is your shop located? Maybe I'll stop in and say hi one day. :D
I am going to the SCDA one with is 5th and 6th. I'm just going to be there one day. I was at LVD on Saturday. The track is in pretty good shape but needs some more rubber on it.
