"Active Handling warming up..." IAT sensor reading too cold???
Ever since my Procharger was installed last June, the DIC displays "Active Handling warming up" a few minutes after driving. Later, the DIC will display "Service Active Handling".
The dealer says that my "Cold Air intake is making the air too cold. :bs  This is impossible since the supercharged air is inherently warmer. I have replaced the IAT intake air temp sensor and it still isn't fixed. All of the wiring looks intact and in good condition.
Question: Must you use a Tech II scanner to check the sensor? Is it a thermocouple, thermister, or what?
Question: Is this possibly programming? The car was initially programmed with SuperChips and then tweaked with LS1-edit on a dyno. Are there expected air temp table values that need to be set?
I had this problem with my 2000 C5. Check the wires going into the IAT sensor. The sensor itself does'nt go bad but rather the metal connectors on the plug become loose. Without this signal I think the PCM reads something like -32F and you will get the Active Handling error along with it running REALLY rich.

That only happens to me when I goose it before it warms up. :steering:
When it's warm, I have traction issues. Cruising along at 30mph with the A4 in third, punch it, definite traction issues. Also at 60mph and punching it causes the rear to get floaty. Pretty much anytime it downshifts two gears down.
Don't goose it when it's cold. Your car will live longer.
