You can not attach a filter directly to the throttle body.
There is a MAF sensor that is in the front of the airbridge. You can not eliminate that. In adddition.. the cone filter would be pulling heated air into the engine.
If you are trying to save money...Then just get a stock K&N replacement filter and then cut the top of your stock airbox open..
I bought one out of the K&N parts catalog for about $50. it is a little wider and longer than the one sold in the power pak kit. It mounted directly to the MAF sensor. The set up is great. Save yourself the money and get it. If you want the part number and some pics of my set up I can get them to you this weekend. Good Luck. :smash:

I've been advised that the Blackwing media filters better than the K&N. Also, are you aware that Blackwing makes a panel filter that will fit your stock airbox? I think it costs around $60-70.
