What about OEM MAGNESIUM WHEELS?
I have them on my 99 Pewter Coupe, they look great. Hope they are great. Any hints or suggestions. Let me know. :chevy :seeya :steering:

I always liked the look too. They are not as popular as one would think do to the cost. And, GM stopped offering them. Also, there are lighter stock wheels. The standard silver wheel is as light or lighter if i recall. Look great though!! :thumbs:

what kinda tips u looking for? And I believe the mags are the lightest! Hence the cost over the stock!

Yep, they are. 17.2 lbs in front and 19.4 in back is awfully light.

A couple of months ago a member posted photos, in the wheel and tire section, of his magnesium wheels after stripping and polishing them. Not something you see every day and very nice.
Be careful of "Magnesium" dust. It is explosive. Firemen say the best way to put out a "Magnesium" fire is to bury it, in the dirt.

I remember reading that when the 2000 wheels came out they were lighter than the Mag wheels. The Z06 wheels are even lighter still.
