Sorry it took us a while but we're happy to be new sponsors of this great site. Our exhaust system has been redesigned to save on shipping costs (it comes by air all the way from Maranello/Italy). A few have already been installed with great results. Please check the forum's front page and lots of details including tons of pictures and sound bites at http://www.mensilift.com/tubi
Thanks
You guys are going to love the sound this system makes! It makes the car sound like a Corvette should. It has a deep rumbling idle and makes beautiful sound at low to mid RPM, but the volume stops increasing at about half throttle, so it never gets too loud. I put a set of TUBI’s on my car a couple of months ago and I really love them. I have hosted four Dyno days in Southern California, so I have had ample opportunity to listen to nearly every exhaust out there (Corsa, GHL, Borla, B&B, etc, etc, etc).….and I have had 4 different systems on my car. Exhaust sound preference is based on individual taste…but for me, I like the TUBI sound. :)
Thank you all for the welcome and encouragements. We're very thrilled about this particular Tubi sytem; it is a very good alternative when compared to other choices and a good deal when compared to other Tubi's. Just in case there is confusion (the website will be improved), you can access lots of install pictures as well as a few sound bites by going to Applications/C5/Pictures at http://www.mensilift.com/tubi :)
I just ordered a system today after visiting Charley and his set up. I currently have a B&B PRT exhaust that I have enjoyed for over a year. After my engine build up, Vortech and headers the PRT’s seemed too loud. My wife says the house shacks when I start my car, NOT good. Today Charley and I compared exhaust note between my system and his Tubi system. What a difference, the Tubi sounds better tuned, not raspy like the PRT. Charley was nice enough to take me for a short drive, the words that come to mind are, perfectly blended, smooth, aggressive yet classy. The workmanship is top notch, the tubes, welds and fit exceed everything I have seen. To call the exhaust ends tips would be an injustice. These pieces are large, highly polished, baffled jewelry for the system. The pictures on the site do not do this system justice (no offence Charley, your car is beautiful, as I told you today). I will post again after I install the new system this weekend. :auto: :steering:
PS yes I drive again, half throtte, 7 lbs boost, and sideways. Still tuning.
