Damn power mirrors
anybody out there have this problem ?? mirror spring retainer clip popped off on both sides now . I can't really see a fix as the springs are pressed off the car . :mad :mad :mad :mad

Hi all,
blue98coupe, sorry to hear of your unfortunate situation. I've been there, done that on both sides. After I blew $250 bucks to replace the passenger side "breakaway" one (which incidentally literally "BREAKS") when bumped <GREAT DESIGN!> I devised my own "rig" to fix my driver's side one, 'cause I wasn't about to drop another $250 ridiculous bucks to fix a stupid design FLAW! I drilled a screw right into the base, through the housing to secure it to the base. It doesn't flop around and I didn't have to mortgage my house to get a new "breakaway" :rolleyes: mirror! I can't see it or tell the diff at all. Problem solved.

good idea , I will do that at work today seems like a few little things start to pop up with age of the vehicle oh well . It is still a vette and damn glad I bought it :cheers:
