well, 1st and 2nd seem fine, but when you get into 3rd and 4th(holding rpms longer) it just doesnt want to run up past 5k or so? Its not missing, its just like it isnt getting enough fuel or something, like something is holding it back? i changed the plugs just for kicks and also put a new fuel filter on. Still seems to get held up at high rpms?
Is it common for LS1s to "float lifters"? Or is that even a possibility? Maybe the fuel press is not high enough due to a failing fuel pump? I dunno, i am no mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, just trying to think of all the possibilities?
My car also feels like its straining to pull to red line.
At a dyno day last year, I found the power was down and A/F ratio was very rich above 4000 rpm. Today I'm installing an AFR1 to see if leaning it out will help.
Did you install i correctly? The arrow points towards the front of the car.
yes, actually on the 99(not sure what other models), you cannot install incorrectly. It has 2 inlet lines and 1 outlet? I guess thats the reason the stupid thing cost $38 and NAPA had to order it(with temporary part # non the less).
